so great!! here i am jst day 3 at sims and we have to do something which we could never even think of !! but luckily we have a guest faculty who thinks a few years ahead of his students.So the challenge is like this.....u start off from ur hostel at 9:40 in the morning to a place known as mg road( yeah yeah i know its present everywhere in india).we have to find a job for a day at any shop or office there and work there till 4 in da eveningand get a minimum Rs 100 as wage.So if u think getting a job for a day is tough then i guess i havnt told u the conditions yet. Yo CANNOT spend any money during the day.....either on travelling or on eating or on any god damnit thing. how u reach there is ur bloody problem....u hitch a ride,steal a vehicle or do anything ......its your problem but u dont cant spend any cash.
i had 2 buddies with me( thats what you call ur team members ) and they were both girls ( wipe that smile off ur face). so i went off to mg road taking lift from different people and somehow we reached. now we had to find a job . but where ?? anywhere man. first we went to an eating joint where we were told to **** off.Next we went to ...well ..guess what ..a lingerie shop!! ..... yes u read that right. that was shweta's idea ( 1 of my buddies and i tagged along, y?? dont ask me!!)
the lady was nice and ..she was willing to help us but didnt know how. specially what work would a guy have in a lingerie shop( the ladies can still still do something, they are gud at yapping, u see). so i finally convinced her that i would do any job ..cleaning , washing the shop ..anything!!! so well she agreed to employ us at the minimum wage of 100 bucks each.
so here i was with bucket of water, a cloth to clean and a ladder and i had to clean the outside of the shop ...everything that was outside( except the lingerie wearing mannequins of course). i really slogged hard outside in the sun washing and cleaning every window and wall. after about 2 hours or so the work was done and i was called inside to the 1 st floor to assist my buddies who were there.and man when i went there i can assure you i have never felt more awkward ever in my life . all kind of women lingerie ..the usual 1 and the unusual 1 ...lace and laceless ..of every type.my job was to arrange the packed stuff properly on the shelf. and my buddies were doing the more 'physical' stuff of folding and 'handling' the lingerie. i am damn sure i must be the 1st guy to enter that area. but it was ok i guess..work is work .after about 2 hrs we were called downstairs and were jst chatting with the owner..and then the gud stuff started .some really hot babes entered the shop and they were trying evry sort of thing....he he
best crowd of pune i guess.......
we found out some interesting facts about the business. the lady started the business after dabbling in about 9 businesses. but a smart lady as she was ..she found a gud palce to start it. the shop served only served high end customers, the cost of products was simply out of range for the middle class guys. the shop earned around 30k to 35k per month and made profit of 10 k. the salaryof the employees ranged from 2 k to 6.5 k..depending upon the experience.the prducts were imported from korea. they owned that shop so rent was not an expense.the employee strength was 6 .the best part was that there was no competition around.
so the lady could keep any fancy price for the stuff. and those snooty upper class guys would gladly pay. and even the men shop in that shop

anway a nice experience which i wud remember for the rest of my life .........met different people on the way..strangers who gave us lift jst 2 help us( strangers are kinder when u have girls with you)


just as i was about to go i asked her out of curosity if there was any time of the year when sales increase by quite some number. and guess what she replied.....during the new year she said.....i wonder why............................................
